Florida Virtual Paralegal Services, LLC was formed in 2020 when Heather Upton saw the need to bring the "virtual paralegal" to the Northcentral Florida market. Paralegals work daily alongside attorneys during all phases of the litigation process, from the initiation of a case to the discovery period through trial and post-trial findings and appeals. As a "virtual paralegal," we handle these assignments through an online office and as an "on-demand" service.
Some advantages to hiring a virtual paralegal are no overhead costs, no need to train an employee, no taxes to fool with, attorneys can bill their clients for the time of a virtual paralegal, and no need to pay for health insurance, parking, or other benefits. We are contractors, which means we are NOT employees of the attorneys we work with. It is simple: you use our services on an as-needed basis.
With over 15 years of experience as a paralegal, no job is too small, too big, or too complex. Heather specializes in eminent domain and other civil litigation. Her goal is to help you focus on what you, as an attorney, do best without worrying about details. We have the resources and diligence to handle the day-to-day operations, time-consuming tasks, and one-time projects.
Florida Virtual Paralegal Services provides paralegal services only to attorneys licensed to practice law in the United States who are in good standing with the state(s) in which they are licensed. All paralegal services provided are under the direction and supervision of a licensed attorney who is professionally responsible to his/her client for the work product.
***WE DO NOT PROVIDE PARALEGAL SUPPORT TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. WE ARE NOT ATTORNEYS. WE ARE NOT TRAINED, QUALIFIED, OR ALLOWED BY LAW TO GIVE LEGAL ADVICE.***
